Whitney Dutton: An Extremely Impressive Testimonial.
Before I hand the mic to one of our most inspiring ultrarunners, allow me a moment to set the scene.
Picture a woman in head-to-toe leopard print, tutu swirling and smile blazing, cruising through the cactus-studded trails of the Javelina Jundred. That same unstoppable spirit has carried her through five one-hundred-mile finishes in a single year, a personal record under twenty hours, a Boston-qualifying marathon, and now the daunting road to Spartathlon. What is her secret weapon when the miles start to bite? She will tell you herself, but I can share this: it hums quietly, pulses with targeted energy, and lives right beside her foam roller.
Here is her unfiltered take on how MagnaWave turns small niggles into non-issues and keeps her dream on track:

“I would just like to express how truly grateful I am for the MagnaWave I’ve been able to use over the past year. During this time, I’ve completed five 100-mile races (including a PR of under 20 hours, something I didn’t think was possible for me), a Boston Qualifier at the Houston Marathon, and now gearing up for Spartathlon, my ultimate dream race. With such intense training and racing, it’s inevitable that small injuries and niggles1 pop up along the way, but what’s made the biggest difference in keeping me moving forward has been my MagnaWave.
I first received the MagnaWave after I suffered a tibial stress fracture last year. Not only did it accelerate my recovery from that injury, but over the past year, it’s helped me stay ahead of so many other issues (a swollen ankle/fussy tendons, nagging hip flexor soreness, bruised knees from a fall, irritated sesamoids after the Houston Marathon, and even a broken pinkie toe). It’s become a part of my daily routine, helping to give a little extra care to whatever body part is in need that day.
Just this past training block, I had back-to-back key workouts (Yasso 800s on Thursday, then a 23-mile-long run with marathon pace intervals on Saturday), and my hip was really feeling it. I used the MagnaWave that evening, and the next morning I woke up with zero pain. It allowed me to jump right back into training without skipping a beat, and it’s basically been the same story over and over. Small tweaks that used to linger and threaten to derail training are now quickly resolved before they become bigger problems.
Training for ultramarathons (especially something like Spartathlon) pushes every limit, physically and mentally. Knowing I have a reliable tool like MagnaWave gives me confidence that my body can handle the load.
It’s helped me recover faster, stay more consistent, and ultimately race better. I’m so grateful to the MagnaWave team for supporting me through this journey!”
1A niggle is a minor, persistent ache or discomfort that doesn’t significantly impede movement or daily activities, but it’s persistent enough to be noticed and possibly cause some worry. It’s a common term, especially in sports, to describe an ache or pain that’s not severe enough to stop someone from training or playing but still needs to be addressed to prevent it from worsening.
