What is MagnaWave?
MagnaWave offers the latest in wellness technology through Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields. PEMF is used to cover low energy cells in raw, pure energy. Each cell in an animal’s body is actually just like a battery that holds a charge. Their body is electrical and the cells each need a measurable electrical charge to function optimally. In order to maintain good wellness, cells must be doing their jobs. MagnaWave uses PEMF to help support the animal’s overall wellness to optimize balanced functions.
Is PEMF safe for everyone to use?
MagnaWave machines are not medical machines and do not treat, cure, or heal diseases or their symptoms. You should always ask your veterinarian before using any type of PEMF machine. PEMF machines should not be used by anyone with a battery implanted device, such as pacemakers, cochlear impacts, intrathecal pumps, etc. Magnetic fields are known to interfere with these machines.
How long has MagnaWave been used or been available?
PEMF technology has existed for a long time and has been used for a variety of purposes, including seed germination. MagnaWave was founded in 2002, and has been providing an avenue for wellness ever since, using only top-of-the-line equipment and thorough certification training.
What are the veterinary regulations in my state?
Each state has their own veterinary regulations which may or may not mention PEMF. As the field is continuously growing, rules and regulations are subject to change.
Why high voltage, high intensity PEMF as compared to low voltage?
PEMF will pass through the animal’s body whether it is of high or low intensity. Every animal is built differently; therefore, the intensity for one client may vary from another. The difference is the amount of charge the field will stimulate in tissues as it is passing through the animal’s body. Higher voltage is more effective when low voltage isn’t enough. High voltage PEMF also produces a sensation that animals can actually feel which helps reassure the machine is working.

MagnaWave Questions
What actually happens during a PEMF session?
The blood oxygen is increased, the lymphatic system is activated, and acupuncture points are stimulated. This process reduces pain and inflammation and promotes overall health. The idea of PEMF is to help relieve inflammation. Pain is thought to be caused by inflammation, if we can relieve the pain and swelling, the body can begin to recover naturally.
What should you expect the first time your animal uses PEMF?
Depending on the current state of health and wellness, you can expect your animal to feel an overall sense of well-being. Just like any other wellness modatlity, the way their body responds will vary from one animal to another. There are lots of factors that influence this, including diet, lifestyle, and your animal’s level of physical activity. We advise checking with your veterinarian to make sure MagnaWave is right for your animal.
In some cases, animals using MagnaWave for the first time might feel a sense of fatigue. This may be their body’s response to ridding itself of toxins. If they experience detox after a PEMF session, we advise the animal to take in plenty of fluids and have plenty of rest.
How long does a session take?
Normal session time is 20 to 30 minutes for a horse and can vary for livestock and small animals.
What do I remove before a PEMF session?
Make sure you check your pockets and person and remove jewelry, watches, cell phones, credit cards and car key fobs. Place them about a foot away from the machine.
Why PEMF the whole body when the problem is in one area?
By increasing the cellular exercise in the whole body, the sensitive area continues to be helped as blood from the rest of the body continues to flow through the area.
How does PEMF show which areas are sensitive?
Muscle tissue palpitates in sensitive areas because of cellular exercise. As we like to explain it, the magnetic field will pass through the body, but when there are areas of inflammation, lactic acid build up, or scar tissue, the pulse bounces off these areas causing the movement you sometimes see during a session. This is further explained in our in-depth certification training.
Can PEMF be used pre-event?
Yes, but at the trainer’s discretion. However, we recommend that you try it ahead of time, since different animals react differently to a session. We have found that some clients are more relaxed after their session, so they might not have the same edge before an event. Other clients are not affected in that way and are ready to perform. So again we recommend you try it on your client before an event to measure performance and decide for yourself.
When can the horse be worked after a PEMF session?
Immediately, there is no recovery time. Results are immediate with continued improvement over time with additional PEMF sessions.
What is the cost per MagnaWave session?
Normal full-body sessions are $125.00 for horses but prices can vary by state. A small animal treatment is usually $45 to $50.
Can you use PEMF on animals with stent or metal implants?
Yes. While the magnetic field will not go through metal it will go around implants to the surrounding tissue.

Does MagnaWave have the newest PEMF equipment?

Is MagnaWave the same as other magnetic therapy blankets and boots?
Not necessarily. While the technology is similar, the difference is in the delivery method, power, and how they yield a deeper penetration. The higher power of MagnaWave provides shorter session times and quicker results. What the blankets can do in 2 to 3 weeks, the MagnaWave machines can do in 10 minutes!
What are the technical specifications for your systems?
MagnaWave produces all the power you will ever need. Our systems are fully adjustable in terms of magnetic field strength from low to high and each incremental change reflects a change in the gauss. The gauss is understandably varied based on the accessory being used and the settings.

How many amps do your machines draw?

What waveforms are used?
MagnaWave machines produce electromagnetic energy that creates a saw-tooth wave with every pulse.
Which MagnaWave machine is the most powerful?
The MagnaWave Julian/Julian Duo and the Maia Pro are our most powerful machines! With the Julian Duo, you get 2 machines in one case.
Are MagnaWave machines producing AC (alternating current) or DC (direct current)?
The electricity that’s in the walls of all houses or buildings is AC. That current goes into the machine where it is converted to DC– that is what travels into the attachment and gets delivered into the body. DC moves the current in one direction. The animal body’s nervous system is also a DC system.
Do MagnaWave machines have automatic polarity switching?
Yes. The field has a push-pull action on ion flow, aiding both inward and outward movement of ions through the cell membrane as it rises and collapses. This means the field generated is bipolar and reverses with each pulse.
What is the difference between PEMF and Electrosmog?
Electrosmog describes the artificially created electrical, magnetic, and electromagnetic fields that first began developing with the rollout of the electrical grid a century ago. Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Machines should not be compared to 50/60 Hz electromagnetic radiation around high voltage power lines and transformers, which induce a continuous electromagnetic field.
The goal of PEMF machines is to produce a magnetic field that penetrates the animal’s body and supports its natural functions. This requires a very long wavelength and low frequency. Most PEMF machines produce frequencies in the extremely low frequency to very low frequency range on the electromagnetic spectrum, much closer to the earth’s frequencies, are non-ionizing and have been used safely around the world for decades in clinical environments.
Can I use MagnaWave on two animals at the same time?
Every animal is different and therefore will have different tolerance levels. While technically this can be done it is recommended only if you are using the Julian Duo machine, as it has two machines in one case.

The amount of space you need would depend on your specific choice of system and accessories. MagnaWave machines weigh between 6-40 lbs and typically do not take up much more room than a normal size suitcase.
Who do I contact if I have a problem with my MagnaWave machine?
Can I sell my machine to someone else?
You absolutely can sell your machine to someone else as long as you own it. If you are renting or leasing from us or one of our banks you are not allowed to sell until the agreement is completed. The new owner still has to enroll and complete necessary certification to use the machine. Also, the warranty is NOT automatically transferred to the new owner, but can easily be transferred for a fee of $25 ahead of time. Let us know and we can help you through the process. If you sell the machine and do not notify the company then we can not honor the warranty. This is a safety precaution to protect our clients in case their machine is stolen.
Does my warrenty automatically transfer if I sell my machine?
The warranty does not stay with the machine, but with the individual, so for a $25 fee, the warranty can easily be transferred to a new owner. However, that person still has to enroll and complete necessary certification to become a MagnaWave practitioner.
